Round Barn Winery 2009 Photo Contest

Say Cheese! Enter our Photo Contest and you could win a $100 or $50 Gift Certificate to the Round Barn Winery. They can be used at our Online Store or any of our Retail Locations.

Photos must be wine related somehow and of course photos with the Round Barn or one of our products are preferred but not required. We will also be judging on focus, lighting, composition, creativity and storytelling. Be creative and have FUN!

2009 Photo Contest Rules

Submitting Photos

• Contestants must be 21 years old or older.
• You may enter more than one photo.
• If you submit photos with recognizable persons including minors in the photo you automatically consent that the Round Barn Winery has the right to use your photo/image as we see fit.
• PLEASE DO NOT SEND PRINTS
• Email your digital photos (up to 9 MB) to photo_contest@roundbarnwinery.com

• or mail them on a CD or DVD to:

  Include your full name and email address.
• Contest entries must be received by email no later than 11:59 p.m. EST, on November 11th, 2009 to be included in the contest.
• Entry materials will not be returned.

Photo Formats

• Images should be submitted as JPGs and must be a minimum resolution of 1024x768 (or higher) pixels.
• Images can be color or b/w.
• Photographs may be either in vertical or horizontal format; however, horizontal format is preferred.
• Minor digital enhancements for cropping, red-eye removal, filters and corrective functions are permitted, but images that have been judged to be altered in any significant manner will be disqualified. Contestants are not permitted to place borders, frames or backgrounds around their images or to place watermarks, dates, signatures or copyright images onto photos.

Judging

• The employees of The Round Barn Winery will be the sole decision makers on the photos.
• Judges base their decisions on the following qualities: focus, lighting composition, impact, creativity and storytelling. Photos with the Round Barn or one of our products are preferred but not required.
• The decisions of the judges are final.

Use of Photos

• The Round Barn Winery reserves the right to use the images in print and/or online as we see fit without additional compensation.
• The Round Barn Winery reserves the right to crop registered photographs for display purposes, if necessary, and for other needs as required or as they see fit.

Prizes

• 1st Place: $100 Round Barn Winery Gift Certificate (good online & at retail locations)
• 2nd Place: $50 Round Barn Winery Gift Certificate (good online & at retail locations)

Winners will be notified via email by November 16th.
Results will be posted on our Web site as well as our Facebook page. Photo credits will be given.
