Divine Vodka Wins Another Medal in Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition

The Grapes Get the Gold!
Baroda, MI - Bigger is always better, right? The owners of a small distillery in Southwest Michigan would disagree! Round Barn Winery, Brewery & Distillery in Baroda, Michigan is a family-run, boutique distillery where DiVine Vodka is produced and bottled. Beating out larger distilleries in its category, DiVine Vodka was awarded another Gold Medal this week at the influential San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
This is the second industry GOLD medal award in less than a year for this grape-based vodka along with a SILVER medal too!
First, several prestigious judges took part in the 2009 Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition on June 1-2, 2009. DiVine was awarded a Silver medal in the category of Spirits, Special Awards, unflavored vodka, (grape).
Then, in September, 2009, The Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago gave DiVine an "Exceptional" rating (92 Points) with its Gold Medal award (full review below).
Finally, the results were just announced from the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition--one of the most well-respected spirits competitions in the world--and DiVine won another Gold Medal! The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the first comprehensive, international spirits judging ever held in the United States on an annual basis. This year, distillers and importers submitted 1,024 spirits from 57 countries and DiVine Vodka from Southwest Michigan was one of them.

International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal
Clear. Attractive, mild aromas of spicy raisin compote and mincemeat pie follow through on a very soft and silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with excellent smooth texture, great balance, and Brazil nut and creme Anglaise nuances. Finishes with a river stone and peppery spice accented fade. A lively, very tasty, lightly fruity vodka.
RATING: 92 points (Exceptional)
