Tips for Visiting Us in the Fall |
|
A quick tip...If you are planning a visit this fall please be aware that our tasting rooms are extremely busy on Saturdays through mid-November. If you can, it's best to plan your visit for a weekday or Sunday. If Saturday is the only day you can make it, try to come earlier in the day (11am-1:00pm) or late in the afternoon (5:00-7:00pm) to avoid long lines. We do our best to serve everyone as quickly as possible while still providing a good experience, so please be patient. If this is your first wine tasting be sure to check out the tasting room etiquette. Hope this helps and see you soon!

FAQs |
What does "Vintage Year" for a wine mean?
A wine's vintage is the year the grapes were harvested. For example, grapes for a 2005 Pinot Noir were harvested in the fall of that year, fermented, and placed into oak barrels for aging. While the wine may have been bottled and sold well into 2006 or 2007, the label on the bottle will reflect a vintage of 2005. If an industry's wines have had a "good vintage" year, it means that overall, conditions were ideal for growing grapes, and as a result, the wines should also be very good. A vintage also serves a much more fundamental purpose: it gives the consumer an idea of how old the wine is, and can help in making decisions about purchasing, storing, caring for, and serving the wine.

Here's what you will find on tap at The Round Barn Brewery in Baroda and Union Pier.

BLACK MAGIC
Black Magic is a well balanced beer that puts stout characteristics at the front and compliments it with the addition
of fresh Michigan black raspberries, which unlike reds are only available in July. The flavor starts out showcasing
the roasted malts that define a good stout, then carried up by the sour sweet flavors of fresh black raspberries,
and then finished with the delightful warming taste of gourmet chocolate. It's a seasonal specialty, a wonderful
dessert beer whether you are craving a fruit beer or a stout. (ABV 5.80%)
