Raspberry Brownies
INGREDIENTS
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 4 tbsp. Round Barn Raspberry Dessert Wine
- 6 tbsp. butter
- 2 to 3 drops red food coloring
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix first seven ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Pour in pan and bake for 25 minutes. Let cool. Mix confectioners sugar, butter, red food coloring and dessert wine until smooth. Spread on top of brownies and chill until set. Melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat. When it is cool, but spreadable, spread a thin layer on top of liqueur mixture. Chill until firm. Slice into squares. Yield 12 to 16 brownies.
